Refund Policy
Last updated: 3 June 2026
1. Merchant of record
Trace is operated by Tracej. Our paid Pro subscription is sold and billed through our merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"). Paddle is the party you contract with for the purchase; their name appears on your statement and on your receipt.
Because Paddle is the merchant of record, refund eligibility and processing are governed by the Paddle Buyer Terms and the Paddle Refund Policy. This page describes those terms in summary form and explains how to request a refund — it does not modify or override the Paddle terms, which prevail in case of any difference.
2. Free plan
The Basic plan is free of charge. Nothing to refund.
3. Refund rights under the Paddle Refund Policy
The Paddle Refund Policy applies to every paid Trace transaction. The headline points, summarised from that policy:
- Transactions are generally non-refundable unless a statutory right of withdrawal applies in your country of residence, or Paddle exercises its discretion to refund.
- EU / EEA / UK / Switzerland / Turkey / Israel: a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal applies to the first purchase of digital content or service contracts; this right is lost once you have started downloading, streaming or otherwise using the product, where you agreed to immediate access.
- Canada / Brazil / South Korea / China: a 7-day right to cancel digital content or service contracts after delivery.
- Singapore: a 5-day right to cancel after delivery or first access.
- Ukraine: the Ukrainian Consumer Protection Law (Article 8) does not generally apply to digital content already supplied, but consumers retain the right to demand a refund where the service is materially defective. Paddle handles such cases on the same 14-day discretionary basis as other non-statutory regions.
- Outside of statutory windows, Paddle may issue refunds at its discretion within 14 days of the relevant charge, considering the nature of the product and how it has been used.
- Refunds are not issued where there is evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behaviour.
The full and authoritative rules are at paddle.com/legal/refund-policy.
4. How to request a refund
You can request a refund in either of two ways:
- Through Paddle directly — open the receipt email Paddle sent after your purchase and use the "View receipt", "Manage subscription" or "Request a refund" link, or visit paddle.net and locate your order using the email used at checkout.
- Through us — email lev.tracej@gmail.com from the address used to register your Trace account, mention the approximate date of the charge, and we will forward the request to Paddle on your behalf.
We respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Paddle within 14 days of approval and returned to the original payment method.
5. Effect of a refund
If your refund is approved, your access to the Trace Pro subscription ends on the date the refund is issued. Your account remains in place on the free Basic plan.
6. Cancellation is separate from a refund
Cancelling your subscription stops future charges. It does not, by itself, refund a past charge. To cancel, open the Trace app → Settings → Manage plan, or cancel from your Paddle receipt. Your access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
7. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact lev.tracej@gmail.com or use Paddle's refund process before filing a chargeback with your bank. A refund through Paddle is usually faster than a dispute.
